Robot House in Suburbia - test edit

Robot House in Suburbia test cut from Francis Fitzgerald on Vimeo.

Needs some touching up and music to go with it, but this is pretty much what I am going for with it.

Many many houses

Time to set up this scene and get this animation done.

Self enforced deadline - this Friday. Plenty of time for rendering and time to get working on other projects.

Modelling for Design Final Assignment

For my final assignment I need to do an animation. What I was thinking of doing was...

Robot House Plays Soccer.

So I model this really cool house that just kinda sits there all house like in the beginning. Then, some shutters and things open to reveal eyes and arms come out and legs and it turns out, this house is alive. Well, robot alive. So he has a soccer ball, and just wants to find someone to play soccer with. So he tries to play with all the other houses, but they are just houses, so they can't play. So the robot house never finds anyone to play soccer. So he goes back to being a house.

So a sad ending, but I love this idea.

Time to get onto this!

CGI assignment

Not textured in anyway yet but because I am actually realllllly pleased with how it is going, preliminary images ahoy!

My axe -
I love the handle I made

Restraint -
Possibly most pleased with this one

All have about 10 - 30 poly's to throw around, time to uv map and texture these beauties.

Modelling Exam

I may have spent a bit too much time on the car and as a result it didn't end up as good as it really could have. So here are two images, the first being the outcome of the exam the 2nd a quick fix up of somethings that I failed to notice at exam render time and have since annoyed me.

This is one of my dreams interpreted into 3 dimensional shapes sitting on a plane.

A song for 3D modelling, by me.

I'm a little teapot, short and stout, where is my handle? Who took my spout? Try and boolean me and watch me shout, divided by zero, took the universe out.

This, this right here...

This, represents everything I aspire to be.

Also, so pretty!

Lesson 2

So we did some deforming things today, pretty cool. I may have got carried away and enjoyed it a bit too much.

I felt arty with this render.

I of course made a rocket ship using edit mesh then fire from a sphere and a cup from a spline.

Some models from last year

Basically here is some stuff I did last year in Maya.

 A lovely book, 84 Tri's I believe.

Stone bench, not my favourite. 115 Tri's.

This bed took possibly the most time and was the first thing I did. Also possibly the best one. 504 Tri's
This was mainly to see all my models together at the time to get relative scale and things.

These were all done for a game level I designed that was basically set in a medieval castle. May upload some shots of that at some point.
